PICS: Is This Gold Leaf Cappuccino From An Irish Hotel Pure Notions Or A Real Treat?

Sarah

Once upon a time in Ireland the idea of a regular ol’ cappuccino itself was considered mad fancy, so we can only imagine that a gold cappuccino would cause shockwaves among loyal fans of a good cuppa tea.

The five-star Lough Erne Resort & Spa in Co. Fermanagh is known for its beaut rooms and landscaped grounds, and now we guess they’ll get fame for their fancy brew.

Set on a 600 acre peninsula in the glorious Fermanagh Lakelands, this luxurious hideaway was the meeting place for the world’s leaders at the G8 Summit but they’ve really upped the stakes with their Royal Wedding menu.

Executive Chef Noel McMeel created a special Royal menu that includes the limited edition Royal Caf̩ Gourmand Рa Palace Cappuccino dusted with 24 carat gold leaf

Lough Erne

For £15 per person, you can get a swish gold cappuccino and and five bite-sized homemade desserts.

Other royal items on the menu include a Golden Raspberry Cheesecake, Blackcurrant and Buckthorn Jellies, a traditional Royal Fruit Tart, Raspberry and Almond Indulgence and Gold-Plated Macaroons with Cacao Barry Chocolate.

We can feel our granny shaking her head at the notions from it already. What do you think?
