Andy Farrell has made two changes to his starting XV for this Saturday’s Six Nations showdown with Wales at the Aviva Stadium.

After making picking up a head injury in last weekend’s 19-12 victory over Scotland, Caelan Doris will not be involved and will be replaced by Munster flanker Peter O’Mahony. The other change sees Robbie Henshaw step in for the injured Garry Ringrose at centre.

Uncapped Leinster forward Max Deegan will start on the bench and is expected to come on for his senior Ireland debut at some point during the match. Experience on the bench is provided by the likes of Keith Earls, who is returning from a knee injury, and Devin Toner.

Both Ireland and Wales made winning starts to their 2020 Six Nations campaign, with Ireland getting the better of Scotland and Wales dismantling Italy by a score of 42-0.

Both Andy Farrell and his Wales counterpart Wayne Pivac will have been buoyed by England’s surprise defeat to France on Sunday, a result will be seen by both men as significantly improving their own chances of silverware at the end of the tournament.

Ireland v Wales takes place at the Aviva Stadium this Saturday with a kick-off time of 2.15pm.
