Ireland’s Most Popular Baby Names Of 2017 Have Been Revealed And There Are Plenty Of New Entries

The Central Statistics Office has released information on the most popular names given to babies in Ireland in 2017. 

Topping the pile for boys and girls are Jack and Emma respectively, with 685 Jacks being born and 459 Emilys. The top five for boys is completed by James, Daniel, Conor and Sean while Emma, Amelia, Grace and Sophie round out the top five for girls.

Theo, Jackson, Aoibhinn, Nina, Pippa and Esme entered the top 100 for the first time while Aoibhinn and Theo were the highest climbers from 2016, moving up 82 and 33 places respectively.
