2FM Boss Hints That Comedian Al Porter Could Make A Return To Radio In The Future

Head of RTÉ Radio 2FM, Dan Healy, has hinted that Al Porter could return to RTÉ radio.

Following a series of allegations regarding “sexual misconduct” back in November, the Irish comedian decided to take a break from his lunchtime radio slot on TodayFM.

However, Healy has suggested that Porter could make a return to radio in the future.

When asked by The Sun if the comedian would be hired again by RTÉ, Healy said: “Al is a very talented guy, and we haven’t seen how the next few months will settle with Al.”

“The reality is he is a guy who oozes talent.”

He added: “I don’t think he plays for 2fm. That doesn’t mean that RTÉ won’t engage him in the future if all the matters are resolved.”

“Until he is through all that, we won’t comment on that one way or another.”
