PIC: Lidl Ireland Have Hilarious Trolled Netflix’s Popular ‘FYRE Festival’ Documentary

Darragh Berry

If you haven’t seen Netflix’s hottest new documentary ‘FYRE: The Greatest Party That Never Happened’, you need to see it.

As described by Netflix, “the Fyre Festival was billed as a luxury music experience on a posh private island, but it failed spectacularly in the hands of a cocky entrepreneur.”

“This behind-the-scenes documentary chronicles the disastrous Fyre Festival, a failed “music experience” that left fans and workers demanding answers.”

Basically, the organisers eyes were much bigger than their bellies and underestimated the preparation and money that goes into making a festival.

The stakes got too high towards the end and basically, the organiser began to con investors and festival attendees alike out of money in a ‘borrow Peter to pay Paul’ mentality.

If you haven’t seen it yet, we don’t want to give too much away but here’s the trailer:

Lidl Ireland never cease to miss a Social Media opportunity. They even made fun of themselves after their store was horrifically looted during Storm Emma.

And this time was no different…

Lidl Fyre Festival

“Lidl offers are on Fyre…our offers won’t defraud you.”

Brilliant.
