Start Making A List Of Household Chores Because This Weekend Is Set To Be A Washout

James Fenton

‘Twas a fierce mild Christmas so it’s only a matter of time before we start getting punished, right? Well, it seems it all starts this weekend.

Met Éireann is forecasting a weekend washout as ‘high pressure that has dominated the start of 2019 gradually weakens’. The development will see increased winds and outbreaks of rain throughout the next few days.

According to the experts, it will all start on Friday with ‘the odd spot of drizzle’ before Saturday brings outbreaks of rain although ‘some southern areas will stay largely dry.’

It gets worse on Sunday when it will be breezy with outbreaks of showery rain although Monday will ‘dry with bright or sunny spells’. Just in time to go back to work, says you.
