“Damning” New Michael Jackson Documentary Will Be Shown On Channel 4 Next Month

A new documentary detailing sexual abuse allegations against Michael Jackson will air on Channel 4 next month.

Leaving Neverland will outline claims from two men who allege that they had a number of sexual encounters with the late singer while they were young boys. The film is directed by British filmmaker Dan Reed and features interviews with the alleged victims, James Safechuck and Wade Robson, as well as a number of their family members.

Variety reports that when the movie made its debut at the Sundance film festival last week, healthcare professionals were on hand to attend to viewers who may have been distressed by “explicit descriptions of sexual abuse”.

The Jackson family estate, meanwhile, has called the movie “yet another lurid production in an outrageous and pathetic attempt to exploit and cash in on Michael Jackson”.

It has been confirmed that the two-part documentary, which has a total running time of four hours, will air on Channel 4 at the end of February.
