The Irish Independent has said that 24 Irish restaurants have been awarded the famous Michelin Guide ‘Bib’ Gourmand.
Restaurants that get this award must offer food at €40 or less for a three course meal.
It is different to that of the Michelin Star awards which will be announced on Monday.
There are four newcomers on the list and they are:
- Clanbrassil House, Dublin
- Tartare Café & Wine Bar, Galway
- Brownes Tuam, Galway
- Dillon’s Timoleague, Cork.
Those who retained the ‘Bib’ were:
- 1826 Adare (Adare)
- Aldridge Lodge (Duncannon)
- Bastion (Kinsale)
- Chart House (Dingle)
- Copper Hen (Tramore)
- The Courthouse (Carrickmacross)
- Giovannelli (Killorglin)
- Kai (Galway City)
- Morrissey’s (Doonbeg)
- Sha-Roe Bistro (Clonegal)
- TwoCooks (Sallins).
In Dublin City:
- Bastible
- Craft
- Delahunt
- Etto
- Pichet
- Pigeon House
- Pig’s Ear
- Forest & Marcy
- Richmond (Portobello)
