A Pumpkin Patch Is Coming To Ireland In The Run Up To Halloween

Jen

Lidl has just launched probably one of the best-Halloween themed events we’ve seen in a long time.

For five days only, you can enjoy a fun day out at Lidl’s pumpkin patch in Ladytown, Newbridge, County Kildare.

Yes, that’s right, an honest to goodness pumpkin patch.

Ireland may be the birthplace of Halloween or Samhain, but we’ve been sorely lacking in all things pumpkin for a while.

Sure, you can pick them up in a supermarket or a farmers market, but there’s something about heading off to find your perfect pumpkin among dozens of others that will get you into the festive mood.

In addition to the pumpkin patch, there will also be a spooky farmhouse for anyone who thinks they’re brave enough to enter.

Once you’ve chosen your pumpkin you can join a pumpkin carving class to create your unique design.

There will be plenty of Halloween treats to enjoy and maybe a ghost or two telling stories around the campfire.

The pumpkin patch runs from the 27th of October to the 31st October and each day has three sessions: 9am -11am, 12pm-2pm and 3pm-5pm.

Tickets are €10 for adults / €6 for children and are on sale now.

All proceeds from the pumpkin patch will go towards Jigsaw, the National Centre For Youth Mental Health.
