RIP Flappy Bird – Here’s Why You’ll Never, Ever Play It Again

Sharron

Do you remember when we all played Flappy Bird?

The game made it’s debut in May 2013 and in just nine months, it had been downloaded more than 50 million times across the world.

In case you were living under a rock for all of 2013 and 2014, the gaming app simply involved tapping the screen to propel a little bird through a set of pipes that LOOKED easy but was in fact, extremely frustrating.

It’s fair to say people were obsessed with the game.

So much so that back in February 2014, the creator of Flappy Bird decided to remove the game from the App Store as it’s popularity was “ruining his life”.

That didn’t stop people keeping the addictive game on their phones… until now.

iPhone users have expressed their frustration as the new iOS 11 update means they’ll have to part ways with Flappy Bird forever as the new update doesn’t support 32-bit games.

Die-hard Flappy fans are not impressed:

Flappy Bird, we’ll never forget you.
