Late Late Show Paddy's Day

Now we know where the Late Late Show is heading for St. Patrick’s weekend.

Host Ryan Tubridy recently teased a special edition of the Late Late Show, which would take place outside of Dublin, but he could not reveal too many details earlier this week.

However, it has now been confirmed that the March 13 episode of the show will be broadcast live from Limerick, in partnership with Failte Ireland’s Keep Discovering campaign.

An audience application form appeared on the RTE website on Thursday morning, confirming that the show will be broadcast live from Limerick’s University Concert Hall.

The show will be just the second time that The Late Late Show has been broadcast from outside Dublin since Tubridy began presenting in 2009.

“We are travelling to Limerick City; the land, the city, the county that gave us The Cranberries and Richard Harris and Terry Wogan and Axel Foley and Munster Rugby and so much more,” Tubridy announced on his radio show on Thursday morning.

“We are very excited and on Friday, March 13 – in the days leading up to St. Patrick’s Day – we’re going to celebrate everything that’s wonderful about Ireland and Irishness and community spirit.

“It was a great idea! Failte Ireland inspired us to do this, to hit the road and to discover the country in a way that we mightn’t have before.”
