Slick RC Car Created Using 3D Printing & Powered By Elastic Band

niallharbison

We all know that 3D printing is going to be shaking up a lot of industries in the coming years and Art Center have teamed up with an advanced 3D printing company to create this piece of stunning design. It is an RC car that is powered by a 16 foot rubber band with the chassis produced using 3D printing and the car can travel at 30mph for a few hundred feet. Two servos control the braking and steering.

Although this is clearly just a design project for now it does make you wonder if we could all be driving cheaper 3D printed cars one day. Hats off to them for making it look stunning as well.
