Sony announces upcoming Ghostbusters movie and other blockbusters pushed back to 2021

Ghostbusters Afterlife is one of seven movies that Sony is pushing back to 2021 due to the ongoing Covid-19 outbreak.

Sony has confirmed that it is pushing back the release of seven movies due to the coronavirus pandemic, with Ghostbuster Afterlife arguably the most anticipated among the list.

The movie is a direct sequel to 1980s classics Ghostbuster and Ghostbusters II and as well as having Paul Rudd and Finn Wolfhard of Stranger Things in starring roles, it also features original cast members Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd.

Instead of hitting theatres in October 2020 as planned, Ghostbusters will now be released on May 3, 2020. As well as that, Marvel production Moribus has been pushed back to March 19, 2021 and Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway will be released on January 15, 2021.
