If you remember, and you really should remember, a certain Storm was a major talking point around this time last year too.
Storm Ophelia put the whole country into shutdown as red warnings were issued for Ireland as 185km/h winds battered each corner of the island.
Well, it looks like a Storm nearly as big as Ophelia is about to hit Ireland this Friday according to Weather Experts.
Storm Callum won’t be as strong as Ophelia, but will still bring colossal wind speeds of nearly 150km/h.

This was then backed up by BBC Weatherman Barra Best as well as a weather forecast on RTÉ’s 9 O’Clock news.

As it stands at the moment, Met Éireann has just issued a status yellow rainfall warning for three counties.
Mayo, Donegal and Sligo could potentially experience “a slow moving band of rain bringing heavy and persistent rain over the period with rainfall amounts of 25-50mm expected.
“There is potential for higher amounts in mountainous regions. Spot flooding possible.
Further rainfall is expected to follow Monday night and Tuesday.”
The warning is just in place until 6pm on Monday but it won’t be the last you hear this week about Storm Callum.
