The Cheapest Place To Holiday In Europe This Summer Sounds Mighty Tempting

Sarah

Waking up to blazing sunlight coming into your room, walking out onto a balcony in bare feet and knowing it’s going to be a scorcher of a day and then heading straight to the pool.

Now that’s what we call a proper holiday. But what if you haven’t booked anything for the summer yet? Don’t stress. Turkey is the cheapest country to holiday in and it sounds incredibly tempting.

Although the country lost popularity with tourists after terrorist attacks, the country is back on its feet and a recent dip in the Lira means happy days for Euro using folk.

Dinner costs an average of €6.50 a head and you can get a bottle of wine for less than a fiver.

Flights from Dublin airport start to the seaside region of Antalya start at just €177

And a night in a lush four-star resort hotel costs as little as €35 per night

We found rooms at this price at the Göcek Lykia Resort, a luxury beachside resort with Turkish baths. The Aegean Sea and the yacht marina is only a 12-minute walk away.

That’s it. We’re using up the last of our annual leave days ASAP.
