Hidden behind the castle in Krk, Croatia, is quite possibly the most romantic spot in the whole of Europe.
We stumbled upon this hidden gem by accident, and we spent the rest of the time in Croatia yearning to return.
The place?
Sotobateria Lounge
The entrance to the Lounge is simple; a doorway, in the old town walls with fairy lights around the door frame.
You step through the doorway and it hits you; you’re in heaven.
You’re greeted by steps that descend the whole stretch of the wall, with cushions for you to perch on with your other half.
There are lanterns lighting which give you just enough light to make out the Adriatic sea, which you’re sitting over.
The Lounge has its own bar, where you can buy a drink as you pass the hours with your SO, drinking and relaxing the night away.
The guys who run the Lounge are insanely friendly, and after realising we were all couples, he told us to enjoy the night.
“It’s very romantic, very quiet”, he said, and he couldn’t have been more right.
Honestly, this is place is incredible.
It’s a must see for couples, singletons and those who simply love love.
Sotobateria Lounge, you’ll be forever in my heart.
