If you’re heading to Dublin for the first of Ed Sheeran’s three Phoenix Park gigs this evening – first off, we’re jealous – and secondly, please PLEASE make sure you’re prepared.
There would be nothing more heartbreaking than turning up only to be turned away over something as silly as an ID or a backpack.
With that in mind, listen up – because Aiken Promotions have released a statement telling you exactly what you need to avoid disappointment.
You WILL be asked for ID, so have it to hand or risk being sent on your way. There’s no early queueing, so don’t bother arriving before 5pm. Another notable rule is no bags greater than A4 size. Bags less than A4 size will be checked at security so allow extra queue time.
Concert-goers are also advised to bring necessary cash as there are limited ATMs on site.
CALLING ALL ED SHEERAN FANS! There are limited cash dispensing facilities on site in Phoenix Park so our advice is to bring necessary cash only #ALittleEdsUp #EdSheeran #EdDublin #EdIrishTour #EdSheeranDublin pic.twitter.com/RTW1webl03

A statement from Aiken says:
“Please remember to keep your tickets safe and check your tickets to ensure you are attending on the correct date and going to the correct venue.
“The venue gates will open at 5pm. No early queuing will be permitted.
“These are residential areas and we ask ticket holders to respect the privacy of the residents and respect the local communities.
DUBLIN – it’s time to show us what you’ve got! ???? Please note today’s stage times ↘️ Remember early queuing will not be permitted. Today’s stunning venue, #PhoenixPark is a residential area & we ask fans to please respect the residents and the local community #EdDublin pic.twitter.com/LQFBTLXB3B

“Plan your journey in advance allowing plenty of time for travel.”
They added: “Please do not bring a bag unless it is totally necessary. People without bags will be fast-tracked.
“If you must bring a bag it needs to be smaller than A4 size.
“Bags under A4 size will be subject to a search which will result in unnecessary queuing.
“Please beware of bogus ticket sellers, do not buy from any unofficial source/secondary sites as these tickets will not grant you access and we would hate for you to miss out.”
Support acts start from 5:45pm and Ed himself will take to the stage at around 8:45pm.
Enjoy the gig and don’t forget to send us your pics.
