January. It’s cold, wet and miserable. We’ll all broke and let’s be honest, we’d all rather jet off to sunnier climes.
Why not spend whatever cash you have left after Christmas and hop on a plane to the nearest sunny destination?
January really is the cheapest and best time of year to get away and leave all the misery back home. Take your pick from the following.
1. Malta
One of Europe’s underrated gems, return flights are available on Ryanair for under €100. Start ticking off this bucket list.
2. Tenerife

3. Algarve
Appearing on many a European bucket list, if you’ve never been you’d want to fix that immediately.
4. Greece
Home to some of the most beautiful islands in Europe. Spin the wheel and take your pick.
5. Majorca
