It is that time of year where cities all over the world stop what they are doing and celebrate St Patrick’s day with parades, parties, receptions and in most cases a nice creamy pint of Guinness. London is no different and this year there are some awesome events planned across the city. We decided to round them up in a list and found there is something for everybody out there. So grab something green, find a silly hat and get your drinking boots on. This is the best that London has to offer this St Patrick’s Day…
10th. Shake Shack Covent Garden
The American burger chain have a special menu for the week including their signature Irish Fries (crinkle cut fries topped with horseradish cream, scallions and crispy smoked bacon) but the best news is that they’ll also have Guinness beer floats.
9th. Paint The Emerald Isle
Something completely different in Clapham from Pop Up Painting. As they say “Join us for a fun night painting this vintage poster or the Emerald Isle! No experience needed – just paint and drink and listen to music!”
8th. Silent Disco At The Shard
Attend one of the highest St Patrick’s day parties in the world on level 69. You’ll get a Jameson there and a Pint of Guinness to get you in the mood and be able to dance your little socks off with headphones on. An unforgettable experience.
7th. Dropkick Murphys
You’ll get right into the Irish spirit with the celtic punk crew from Boston playing the O2 Academy in Broxton. The good news is that it is at the weekend on the 21st so you’ll be able to have a few pints and not worry about work.
6th. Dans Le Noir
London’s most exciting dining experience where you eat in pitch dark is serving up a special St Patrick’s day menu on the 17th. They also have a dress code with “some green required”.
5th. The Water Poet
This is one of the most fun bars around and the perfect place to head for a day of proper drinking. They have their very own special Guinness bar as well as Irish themed food so maybe book the next day off and get here early!

4th. Irish LEGO Building
Something completely different and more kid friendly with the “Leprechaun Lego and Irishishy Goodness” in Drink Shop Do where they will be serving Guinness cake to go along with the building.
3rd. Proper Pints Of Guinness In Auld Shillelagh
St Patrick’s day in Ireland is about hitting a pub and being social. Forget about all the fuss and get down to this authentic North London pub that has pretty much the best Guinness in London. Feels like stepping into Ireland.
2nd. Get An Irish Breakfast In Polo 24 Hour Bar
The guys are running a full week of Irish breakfasts to celebrate the big day and the best thing about it is that they are including Guinness sausages on the list.

1st. The Tea Dance
The most traditional celebration of all in the London Irish Centre where they will have a 3-course dinner with a bacon and cabbage main course, live music from Mustang, dancing and a raffle and the best thing of all is you get it all for £10.
