One of the most important pieces of information to find out about a city when you get there or even while living there is where serves the best steaks.
Copenhagen has so many options but we’ve decided to do the hard work for you and pick the 10 best in the capital. All you need to do now is select one and get a lovely glass of red to go alone with it. You could nearly lick the screen looking at these. Off the charts good!
10th. Feugo
If you’re looking for high quality Argentine meat then Feugo is for you. It’s on the more expensive end of the spectrum but then again most places in Copenhagen would be considered above average. Come here to treat yourself to a gorgeous, juicy steak with a small group of friends. The tables are close together which creates a lovely intimate setting.
9th. Madklubben Steak
This place is hugely popular. And as the name suggests – they specialise in serving steaks, so you know you’re going to get great service and food delivered to your table. Located in the inner city, their menu is packed full of meat options and the steak is to die for.
8th. Barbie
The steak is something else here but it is also the setting that makes the whole experience of eating here special. Head in with a group of friends a few minutes before your reservation and avail of one of their amazing cocktails. You’ll get American style BBQ food and epic steaks with an array of sides. Melt on your tongue steak here.
7th. Madklubben Admiralgade
They don’t do things in halves here. Part of the same group as our 9th entry, this particular restaurant has made its own name for itself. It’s very popular amongst the locals which is always a good sign. Get in!
6th. MASH
These guys are absolutely smashing it. They’ve 4 outlets across Denmark and one in the UK. They’re known for their great staff, amazing surroundings, tasty cocktails and even better steaks. If you like American-style steakhouses then come here. You can’t go wrong.
5th. Gourmandiet
If your on the market for a great place to get steak in Copenhagen… then look no further. They’ve other options on the menu but these guys are butchers so they concentrate on the steaks and you should too. The steaks are cooked to perfection and the staff are so accommodating. Put Gourmandiet on your hit list now!
4th. Halifax
Most locals have this place in the memory bank as the go-to for burgers. But their delicious steaks are not to be ignored. With outlets dotted across the city, you’ll always be within walking distance of the next. And the steak is off the charts good.
3rd. A Hereford Beefstouw
This is a really nice outlet based near Tivoli, the central station in Copenhagen. With a couple dozen outlets across the globe, you know you’re going to get quality when you come here. You’ll want to book ahead because the place is always buzzing.
2nd. Retour Steak Vesterbro
If you rate taste above all else then Retour will satisfy that. Be prepared to be blown away by the tasty meat. And if you’re starving you can see from the photo below that the portions are pretty generous, so you’ve no chance of leaving here hungry!
1st. Retour Steak
Part of the same family as our 8th and 2nd entries, Retour København K tops the list as the best steakhouse in all of Copenhagen. This is a combination of amazing staff, incredible ambiance and of course the best steaks in town. Mouthwatering stuff right there.
