clodagh

Gardaí are searching for two men who were involved in an armed robbery this morning in Ballvourney, Cork

The two men, who are both in their 20s, threatened staff members of the small Cork shop with iron bars before fleeing the scene with a unsubstantial amount of money, the Irish Independent reports.

The two men entered the shop wearing balaclavas and were armed with an iron bar.

The incident occurred at approximately 9am this morning.

No one was injured in the incident.

It’s understood that the two robbers left the scene in a white car, which the Gardaí believe to be very distinctive.

It’s believed the car was heading towards the Kerry area.

Gardaí have warned not to approach the 2007 vehicle if seen, but to ring 999 instead.
