The hugely anticipated sequel Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits cinemas next week, but that’s not all fans of the mega franchise should be excited about.
Disney have confirmed they’re opening a Star Wars-inspired hotel in their Walt Disney World Resort in Florida in the near future, and the concept pictures do not disappoint.
Chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, Bob Chapek, says the upcoming destination will be “unlike anything that exists today.”
Adding: “From the second you arrive, you will become a part of a Star Wars story! You’ll immediately become a citizen of the galaxy and experience all that entails, including dressing up in the proper attire.”
According to Chapek, guests will feel as though they are in a galaxy far far away, with ‘views’ of constellations and role-playing stories that they can be a part of.
Disney haven’t announced an opening date just yet, but it’s likely the hotel will be a part of the anticipated Star Wars expansions, The Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, taking place in 2019.
It looks out of this world.
