Here’s Where Ireland Ranks In The World For Countries With Excellent Service

Jen

It’s a grand place, all the same.

Ireland is the second-best country in the world for excellent service, according to the global review website TripAdvisor.

Iceland topped the rankings, with the highest percentage of TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence recipients.

Approximately 7% of its listings have the Certificate of Excellence, but some countries have more than others which is the basis of the awards and new rankings.

TripAdvisor’s “Most Excellent” Countries 2018 are as follows:

  1. Iceland
  2. Ireland
  3. United Kingdom
  4. Greece
  5. Morocco
  6. France
  7. The Netherlands
  8. Italy
  9. Portugal
  10. Belgium

The certificates are awarded to restaurants, accommodations and experiences using an algorithm “that takes into account the quality, quantity, and recency of user reviews,” TripAdvisor stated.

They must be listed for 12 months and rated 4 out of stars to be considered.

Meanwhile, Dublin ranked 6th in the city list which is topped by Keywest in Flordia.

TripAdvisor’s ‘Most Excellent’ Cities 2018 are:

  1. Key West, USA
  2. Reykjavik, Iceland
  3. Edinburgh, UK
  4. Marrakech, Morocco
  5. Amsterdam, The Netherlands
  6. Dublin, Ireland
  7. Bali, Indonesia
  8. Krakow, Poland
  9. Glasgow, UK
  10. New Orleans, USA

TripAdvisor announces several Traveller Choice awards every year with country-specific lists like The Top Restaurants in Ireland, The Best Hotels in Ireland or The Best Beaches but this is the first time it has ranked countries and cities by Certificates of Excellence.
