Pimped Out Turkey Burger With Avocado, Lime And Jalapeno Pepper Relish

Ingredients
  • Turkey mince
  • Avocado
  • Ballymaloe Jalapeno Pepper Relish
  • Cheddar cheese
  • Spinach
  • Red onion
  • Red chili
  • Crusty bread roll

We wanted to create a burger that was healthier than a regular beef burger but with all that delicious taste you’d expect.

This gorgeous recipe only takes about 15 minutes from start to finish and with the avocado, melted cheese and the spicy yet sweet taste of the Ballymaloe Pepper Jalapeno Relish, it is seriously tasty.

Instructions

Step 1

Make sure you buy a super fresh avocado that is ready to eat when shopping. That’s the key, along with some fine crusty bread.

Step 2

Mix the turkey mince with diced red onion and diced red chili. Leave the seeds in the chili if you want an extra kick.

Step 3

Shape the turkey into medium sized burgers.

Step 4

Pop them on a chargrill pan (or BBQ If it is summer time) for about 5 minutes on each side.

Step 5

Dice up the avocado and mix with lime juice and some salt and pepper.

Step 6

Slice the bread in half and either toast it or pan fry until golden brown.

Step 7

Melt the cheese over the top of the burgers when they are full cooked.

Step 8

Smear the Ballymaloe Pepper Jalapeno relish onto the bread. They’ve given it a bit more of a kick lately so it’s perfect for dishes like this.

Step 9

Top with the diced avocado.

Step 10

Add a layer of the baby spinach before placing the burger on top.

You have to taste this to believe just how good it tastes.

Although, in fairness, you can probably tell from that last picture.
