Ireland is home to a lot of quirky accommodation options, with the likes of AirBnB offering everything from tree houses to penthouses at the click of a button.
Better still, you can now rent an actual lighthouse for your next staycation.
Five new Irish lighthouses have been made available for short-term holiday lettings, and they look much cooler than your average B&B.
Two are located at St John's Point in Donegal, two more at St John's Point in Down and a final one at Blackhead in County Antrim.
The new properties are part of a partnership between Irish Landmark and The Commissioners of Irish Lights.
“We are delighted to add these wonderful properties to our collection of historic holiday homes throughout the country. Staying at our lighthouse properties allows guests to live the life of lightkeeper during their short stay in a truly memorable place,” said Mary O Brien, CEO of Irish Landmark.
