Cork Airport has been voted Ireland’s happiest Airport and the second happiest Airport in the world according to research collected by Happy or Not.
Happy or Not, provide feedback systems and terminals across the globe and revealed in its findings in their inaugural Airport Report that if you’re flying to or from Ireland, the south is the place to go.
Cork is the only Irish Airport to rank in the top eight and is tied in second with an Airport in Italy with a rating of 88.45% across areas such as Security, Arrivals, Check-In, Washrooms and Baggage Reclaim.
The UK’s Exeter Airport topped the ranking with a score of 88.66% and the average value across all Airports was 76.52%.
Also, they released the best times for people to travel:
9am is the happiest time of day with a happiness rating of 85.7%, closely followed by 8am with 85.5% and Tuesday (83.4%), Wednesday and Thursday (83.2%) are the best days to fly also.
October and November are the happiest months for passengers (83.5%) while July is the unhappiest (80.9%).
