Looking to try something a little different on your next weekend?
How about scaring the absolute living daylights out of yourself?
If you’re a bit of an adrenaline junkie, we have a serious bucket list of activities for you to try over the next year that will leave you with white knuckles, a racing heartbeat and the shakes for at least a week.
Here we go…
Skydiving – Irish Parachute Club, Offaly
The ultimate activity for thrillseekers but we’d urge anyone to give this a go as once you get over the initial nerves, it’s completely exhilarating.
Jet Skiing – Irish Extreme Sports, Various
Want some serious power between your thighs? Jetskiing will let you travel at 70mph across the water so you can experience the outdoors in a whole new way.
Killary High Ropes Challenge – Killary Adventure Centre, Galway
Got a head for heights? This is the one for you. The challenge involves swinging from a Trapeze, climbing rope ladders and racing to the top of their ‘Cargo Climb’.
Whitewater Tubing – Outdoor Discovery Adventure Company, Cork
If you fancy chasing the rapids and getting that blood pumping, then why not try this great activity in Cork. You don’t need any experience and they’ll provide all the equipment.
Hot Air Ballooning – Irish Balloon Flights, Various
If you’ve watched the movie ‘Up’, you’re probably dying to ride in one of these. With locations in County Meath, Athlone, and Kilkenny, this is a great way to mark a special occasion.
Hovercrafting – Irish Extreme Sports, Various
You can give this a go in Cavan, Derry and Leitrim and it’s been described as “trying to drive a car on ice”. Cool, eh?
