This Beautiful Cork Mansion Is Every Whiskey Lover’s Dream Home

katedemolder

Originally called Park House, Ardnacarrig House was one of two very similar period style homes built in the ancient vale that stretches several miles downriver of Bandon, County Cork.

The grounds are set on 19 acres of land, along the River Bandon. It boasts very exclusive fishing rights, meaning you can even live off your own land.

The home itself boasts six bedrooms, six bathrooms and your very own tower.

Yep, we did say tower.

Due to the house being built on a sloping site, the home has two ground floor levels; one entered by the inner and outer porches; while the other opens directly to the lower grounds.

Outside, led by French doors, you’ll find paths, lawns, a glorious fountain and pond, meticulously groomed hedges and trees, and a glimpse of the river Bandon too, in all its glory.

Some other features worth mentioning include: a derelict cottage with road frontage on site, a whiskey distiller, the fact that the home was extensively renovated and refurbished in 1989 and 2010, double glazed spring loaded sash windows and operating shutters and intricate period features which have been restored to exacting standards.

Whiskey lovers of you, REJOICE. We’ve found your new home.
