London is an amazing city and has a lot to offer, but very few people like to think outside the box nowadays when it comes to dates and things to do on them, me included. We tend to get boggled down in the usual, movie night in and a takeaway or go to the cinema and see a movie or go to a restaurant, etc. That’s why I’ve put together these 7 foodie inspired date ideas to take someone on. Whether that be your other half of a few months, or a few years or it’s your first ever date with that person you swiped right on the other night – you’re bound to find something here that will fit the occasion.
1. Take in a brewery tour at Camden Town Brewery
For just £12 a head this is a really cool idea, especially if the person you’re bringing is a beer fan – or can just enjoy the amount of effort that goes into making the stuff that probably made them go out with you in the first place. For £12 you get a few beer tastings and a nice tour of the brewery. Worth a visit.
2. Cocktails at BYOC
Bring your own bottle. Yes, your own. And the team will use it to create cocktails for you. And it costs just £25 per person. That’s not too bad!
3. Go to the bar with the best view of London
The Tate Modern has an Espresso Bar and it has one of the best views of London you can get all around the city. Take your date here and show them you know your shit by bringing them to a place with the best view of London.
4. Head to Genesis and watch a movie with a martini
Looking to seem a lot more civilized than you actually are? Head to Genesis for a movie and a martini. Just don’t, for the love of god, go here if you know you’ll stick out like a sore thumb.
5. Go wine-tasting at Vinoteca
£25. Wine. Need we say any more?
6. Or stuff your faces with street food
Need some ideas of where to go? Here’s a list of 9 street food places you need to try!
7. Borough Market
Free samples or pay for a full thing and you’ve got everything on offer here you can imagine. Definitely worth taking a look – and a very cheap date if you’re trying to save some cash money!
