As the name would suggest they have a huge focus on all things meat in here but it isn’t as you would expect part of some burger chain. Located in Islington, their menu is packed full of meat options and the steak is absolutely to die for.

The steak is something else here but it is also the setting that makes the whole experience of eating here special. They don’t do things in halves here – from the large Damien Hirst piece that dominates the room through the sheer size of the place. They do a mean Sunday lunch but the steak here is the only way to go. Huge portions and great service along with some of their awesome in house craft beers.

A real New York style steak house with 3 locations around London but go for the full exclusive experience in Mayfair. There is deep wood panelling and the waiting staff bring you out a selection of steaks and talk you through the options. Take great care in aging their steaks as well so as they melt in the mouth.

The Argentinians know a thing or two about good steak and this is the spot to have one of theirs in London. You’ll want to book ahead because the place is always buzzing and as you would expect their steak has to be served with their in house chimichurri which is off the charts good.

2nd. Gaucho, Tower Bridge

View on Google Maps

Plenty of them to choose from but if we had to choose one Gaucho we’d have to say it would be having one of their incredible steaks looking out at Tower Bridge. The whole ceremony of the steak and how it is served make it seem to taste even better. You’ll be made feel like a king when eating here and even though it isn’t cheap you walk out thinking you’ve just eaten one of the best steaks going and it is worth every penny.

1st. Flat Iron

View on Google Maps

They butcher their own meat, people queue around the corner and their pictures make you want to lick the screen to taste that steak. This place started it’s life as a pop up before they took over this venue over three floors that retains the same buzzy feel. You can’t book ahead which means that there is always a queue but that probably makes the steak taste even better and you can have amazing cocktails and craft beers while you wait. This is exactly how steak was meant to be served and the best thing about the whole place is that the prices are so low. Look out for the £10 steak with a side which has to be one of the best deals in London.
