The 10 Best Steaks To Eat In London In 2015
There is nothing better in life than a good steak but with so many to choose from where to start? Fear not as we have ranked the top 10 in London for you
One of the most important pieces of information to find out about a city when you get there or even while living there is where serves the best steaks. London has so many options but we've decided to do the hard work for you and pick the 10 best in the capital. All you need to do now is select one and get a lovely glass of red to go alone with it. You could nearly lick the screen looking at these. Off the charts good!
10th. Meat People
As the name would suggest they have a huge focus on all things meat in here but it isn't as you would expect part of some burger chain. Located in Islington, their menu is packed full of meat options and the steak is absolutely to die for.
9th. Casa Malevo
The steak is something else here but it is also the setting that makes the whole experience of eating here special. You might be in one of London's more expensive areas but the welcome and sheer homeliness of the place makes every piece of that steak feel as if you are eating something prepared by the gods.
8th. Hawksmoor Spitalfields
A few locations in the empire now but this is the very best but do book ahead as it is always packed. They source their meat from the Ginger Pig Butcher and you will never have a bad steak here. Comes with all the trimmings and the perfect way to serve a steak in fairness.
They don't do things in halves here - from the large Damien Hirst piece that dominates the room through the sheer size of the place. They do a mean Sunday lunch but the steak here is the only way to go. Huge portions and great service along with some of their awesome in house craft beers.
6th. MPW Steak And Ale House
One of the best chefs ever is never going to serve a bad steak and this is the best spot in the empire to get one. You feel like you are in some grand steak house from a bygone era and that is very much part of the experience. Their steaks are always faultless.
One of the very finest steak houses not just in London but with locations across Europe now. Their steaks come in all shapes and sizes and are chargrilled. On the pricey end of the scale but well worth it once you taste that succulent beef.
4th. Goodman Mayfair
A real New York style steak house with 3 locations around London but go for the full exclusive experience in Mayfair. There is deep wood panelling and the waiting staff bring you out a selection of steaks and talk you through the options. Take great care in aging their steaks as well so as they melt in the mouth.
3rd. Santa Maria del Sur
The Argentinians know a thing or two about good steak and this is the spot to have one of theirs in London. You'll want to book ahead because the place is always buzzing and as you would expect their steak has to be served with their in house chimichurri which is off the charts good.
2nd. Gaucho, Tower Bridge
Plenty of them to choose from but if we had to choose one Gaucho we'd have to say it would be having one of their incredible steaks looking out at Tower Bridge. The whole ceremony of the steak and how it is served make it seem to taste even better. You'll be made feel like a king when eating here and even though it isn't cheap you walk out thinking you've just eaten one of the best steaks going and it is worth every penny.
1st. Flat Iron
They butcher their own meat, people queue around the corner and their pictures make you want to lick the screen to taste that steak. This place started it's life as a pop up before they took over this venue over three floors that retains the same buzzy feel. You can't book ahead which means that there is always a queue but that probably makes the steak taste even better and you can have amazing cocktails and craft beers while you wait. This is exactly how steak was meant to be served and the best thing about the whole place is that the prices are so low. Look out for the £10 steak with a side which has to be one of the best deals in London.
