Having so many watering holes in a few square miles means there’s something for everyone in the city. So from pints to cocktails here are the best of the best:

10th. Elixir Tonic & Treats

This bar on Deansgate is quite distinctive compared to other bars in Manchester. There’s something quite enchanting about the interior and the entire drinks menu with every cocktail being served in a very unique way. Just look at those photos. Amazing.

6th. Kosmonaut

This slick bar in the Norther Quarter will absolutely satisfy your cocktail cravings. Don’t let the name fool you as there’s no evidence of a ‘Soviet Space’ theme – you’ll actually feel like you’re entering a New York bar with all the trimmings (this isn’t necessarily a bad thing). Perfect for a few pre-drinks when you’re feeling giddy.

5th. Under New Management / Corridor Bar

These guys boast one of the most innovative cocktail menus you’ll see in the city. You’ll experience the authenticity of a speakeasy-style bar and we suggest you make this your late night stop-over… we’ve heard on the grapevine that’s the best time to wander in! Shh don’t tell anyone…

4th. Dusk ‘Til Pawn

Dusk ‘Til Pawn is a favourite amongst the after work crowd – meaning it fills up quite early the days running up to the weekend. Drinks are pretty reasonably priced too and as the name suggests – it’s a speakeasy style bar hidden behind the facade of an old pawn shop. Awesome.

2nd. The Liars Club

Three words – tiki dive bar. Yeah, it mightn’t seem like the most logical combination but it works. We don’t usually like the idea of tiki bars but this one is definitely special. These guys know how to have fun and the vibe is totally infectious. Come in, grab a drink and just let the night take you away.

1st. The Alchemist

With four locations across the UK, it’s hard to pick holes in this brilliant operation. Always packed to the brim but that doesn’t hamper the staff – your cocktails will be served in world-record time and with a smile. The Alchemist is the perfect place no matter what time of day it is. By far the best bar(s) you’ll go to in the city.
