The New Urban Engines App Is The Navigation We’ve All Been Waiting For

Google maps (and to a much lesser extent Apple maps) have been instrumental in helping us navigate the world in the mobile generation. They do however have flaws and a brand new app called Urban Engines focuses on public transport and finds easier ways for you to navigate a city. The biggest draw is that it works with offline maps (perfect when you are underground or don’t have coverage) although that functionality is only available in 10 North American cities for now.

Founded by ex Google employees, this app looks like something that is badly needed for navigation space in cities and something that will improve what is already there.
