Get Your Hotel Room Delivered To Your Chosen Destination

With thanks to the internet, we’ve all become super picky about where we chose to spend our time offline on holidays. Personalisation has become so important to tourists with the likes of Airbnb, Trivago popping up allowing users to choose pretty much every tiny details of their trip. And there’s a new kid on the block in the form of Scandic To Go.

This service allows users to order a pop-up hotel room to any location they wish. The Nordic hospitality chain has build a special 18m2 mobile room complete with two beds, a bathroom and a terrace area. Guests get free wifi, fresh towels and even an included breakfast each morning.

So far this mobile room has been placed in the middle of Stockholm, a beach in Southern Sweden and by a lake in Finland (with obvious restrictions on where the room can be placed for health and safety reasons).

The service costs SKR 2500 per night and enables guests a truly unique holiday experience that otherwise wouldn’t be possible. The idea is nice however I think its just another hipster reinvention of the caravan!
