- Brown mushrooms
- Parmesan cheese (grated)
- Salt & pepper
While mushrooms on toast may sound like a bit of a random meal, this really is so tasty.
So gooey, creamy and cheesy. I like it for brunch or even a quick post-work dinner when I couldn't be arsed cooking.
I think this is pretty amazing on its own, but it's also extra mouth-watering with a gooey fried or poached egg on top. Bacon goes really well with this too. Or both!
Slice up the mushrooms finely... pretty easy.
Fry the mushrooms until nice, golden and soft and then throw in a splash of cream.
After a few minutes season generously with salt, pepper and stir a handful of the grated cheese. Taste and season more if needed.
Serve on your toasted buttered bread and eat immediately!

This really couldn't be much easier and although you might think it looks good in the photos, it's only when you get to actually taste them that you will truly appreciate just how special this simple recipe is.
