Is This The Most Peaceful Glamping Spot In Ireland?

seank

There’s a reason people go glamping rather than taking the far more convenient route of staying in a city hotel: to experience the tranquility of the great outdoors.

But in a way that’s comfortable.

If you’re toying with the idea of doing some glamorous camping, then these eco glamping pods about 15km outside of Westport are just the ticket.

These cosy shacks give you the perfect base from which to explore the surrounding 200-year-old oak woodlands, the Partry mountains and walk along the Erriff river, which are just minutes away from the dwelling.

Croagh Patrick is located nearby, to the west, and can be seen from your pod, so the place is a hiker’s dream.

There two glamping pods available at this site, both with two single beds (which can be pushed together to form a king), a heater to keep the place toasty at any time of year, and a porch from which you can watch the clear night skies or gaze upon the marvellous scenery during the day.

The smallest pod sleeps two, the largest sleeps three. If you’re in need of more space, you can also book a room in the nearby log cabin belonging the pods’ owner, where guests have access to toilet and shower facilities.

This is what a stay here looks like.

If you don’t drive and you’re worried you’d be unable to reach the location, never fear: the owner of the huts is willing to pick up guests from the bus or train station in Westport.

If you’d like to stay in one of these eco pods, at €50 per night, simply click HERE.
