Completely addictive crime thriller The Sinner has just been confirmed for a third season on Netflix.
If you haven’t already binged seasons one and two (where have you been?) the show follows Detective Ambrose, played by Bill Pullman, as he tries to solve bizarre and completely unexpected murders.
Season one featured Jessica Biel who inexplicably attacks and murders a complete stranger while on a day out at the beach, while season two followed the story of a 13-year-old boy who appears to have killed both his parents.
The Sinner season three will star Matt Bomer, who’s been in the likes of American Horror Story, White Collar and Magic Mike.
Deadline reports that the latest instalment, “Follows Detective Harry Ambrose as he begins a routine investigation of a tragic car accident on the outskirts of Dorchester, in upstate New York.
"Ambrose uncovers a hidden crime that pulls him into the most dangerous and disturbing case of his career.
“Bomer will play Jamie, an upstanding Dorchester resident and expectant father who looks to Ambrose for support in the wake of the accident.”
