Meath twins, Aoife and Katie Lynch, left a lasting impression with their performance on The Voice UK on Saturday night.
The Meath twins, who are in fifth year, stunned judge Meghan Trainor with their gorgeous rendition of Abba’s Chiquitita on the hugely popular ITV programme.
Aoife and Katie now find themselves on Trainor’s team and will compete against the acts from the other three judges -Will.i.am, Olly Murs and Sir Tom Jones throughout the competition.
Reacting to the performance of the twins, the All About That Bass singer claimed that her heart had been stolen by Aoife and Katie.
These girls are adorable, so talented and stole my heart!! Welcome to #TeamMeghan @TwinsKatieAoife ☺️🙌🏻 #TheVoiceUK @thevoiceuk pic.twitter.com/uXCDaq8S8b

It wasn’t just Trainor who was impressed by the sisters, however, as Tom Jones commented: “I’m sorry I didn’t turn. I really am. I was listening and I loved it and I couldn’t find any fault with it.”
That sentiment was echoed by Olly Murs, who said: “I’m sorry I didn’t turn too. I loved it.”
The chemistry between Aoife and Katie also struck a chord with Olly, who broke down when he discussed his own twin.
Olly had to be consoled by his fellow judges when he revealed that he hasn’t spoken to his twin brother in over ten years after the pair had an argument.
Olly admitted that he gets emotional when he sees two twins together because it makes him think about his relationship with his own brother.
