It’s less than a fortnight before GBBO is back on our screens!
Fans of the show won’t have to wait much longer – The Great British Bake Off is back on Tuesday the 21st September. The 12th season will see a new batch of contestants competing for the title of Star Baker. Matt Lucas and Noel Fielding will present while Paul Hollywood and Dame Prue Leith will judge the competition.

The 11th season of the show took place mid pandemic in 2020. The contestants bubbled up at Down Hall Hotel near Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire after self-isolating and testing negative for coronavirus. This year’s competition will also take place within a bubble for safety purposes.
According to The Independent, last year’s final saw the largest viewership in the show’s history, with an “audience of 9.2 million viewers”.
The Great British Bake Off airs on Channel 4 at 8pm.
