We're a few weeks into our 'outdoor summer' and it's fair to say most of us haven't spent too much of it outdoors.
Not a day has gone past recently without a few showers or low temperatures and it seems that this weekend will be no different. Met Éireann is forecasting a weekend of wet weather with thundery showers on Saturday becoming heavier and more widespread on Sunday.
Irish Twitter's resident weather expert Alan O'Reilly (Carlow Weather), meanwhile, has advised followers that it will be 'very showery over Saturday and Sunday so hard to plan for outdoors this weekend.'

It's not looking much better for next week either, when it will be 'unsettled through midweek with a mixture of sunny spells and showers. Remaining cool with highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees.'
Let's just hope it all clears up before the return of outdoor dining on June 7. A full outlook for the coming days can be found here.
