An Asian fusion-inspired street food pop-up? Here’s the scoop.
Organised by The Reckless Chef, you’ll find ’em anchoring their food stall in Dunmore on the Harbour. Serving up all kinds of delish street food, the menu is Asian fusion inspired.
And yes, there will be banh mi – including a new (saucy as always) vegan version made from Thai peanut tofu and pineapple.
Yet to discover the glory of a tasty Vietnamese sambo? You’re in for a treat. Consisting of a toasted baguette served with fermented mayo, Asian slaw and dressing, you can usually choose from a number of different meat or veggie fillings. Today’s menu of the day has three banh mi options. All €12, they are:
- Sweet & Tangy Barbecue pulled Beef
- Coconut, ginger & lime pulled Chicken
- NEW Vietnamese Vegan Banh Mi
Amongst the other bits on offer, you’ll find plenty of fermented foods and drinks – the likes of kimchi mayo and kombucha. We love us some ‘buch.
You should note that this is a cash-only event though so make sure to hit up the ATM before heading down… there’s nothing I’d rather spend my communion money on more tbh.
The street food pop-up will be at East Pier in Dunmore from 1pm to sell out.
