When visiting a shop, café or restaurant, there a few things that usually encourage people to return.
Customer service and a high level of staff engagement are just two of the factors that are considered when the Retail Excellence top 100 stores are picked.
The awards were established in 1997 to promote best practice and encourage high standards in the Irish retail industry. This weekend, the 2019 list was unveiled and it includes retailers from all over Ireland.
There is a large variety of the types of stores included, with butchers, jewellers, fast food restaurants and shoe shops among those recognised. Among the winners are Brown Thomas in Dublin, Cakeface Patisserie in Kilkenny and Coco Boutique in Co. Kerry but considering they all deserve to be there, it’s difficult to focus on just a few.
