Cask In Cork Has Just Unveiled Its Very First Brunch Menu

Kiara Keane

Ireland’s most-awarded bar (and easily one of the most stunning) is now open for weekend brunch with a delicious new menu.

Cask on MacCurtain Street in Cork’s Victorian Quarter will now be serving up brunch for the very first time and no doubt it will be a huge hit.

The new menu is all about simple brunch favourites like eggs benedict on toasted honey spelt bread, French toast with Killahora apple syrup and berries, and avocado toast with bacon, tomato, rocket and poached eggs.

There’s plenty of lighter options too, including granola with natural yoghurt and smoked salmon with scrambled eggs and chives.

The best part is that you can enjoy your brunch with one of their summer-inspired cocktails out on their beautiful waterfall terrace on sunnier days.

The seasonal menu changes every 12 weeks and is based around which wild ingredients are available to pick and forage, while cocktails are inspired by the flavours of summer such as gooseberry, honeysuckle, peach leaf, and meadowsweet.

Cask has won a huge number of awards since it opened in February 2017, including Bar of the Year, Cocktail Bar of the Year and World Class Irish Bartender of the Year.

Bryan McCarthy, head chef at Cask, said, “For the brunch menu at Cask we wanted to keep it simple, offering no-frills brunch favourites with the focus firmly on the quality of the ingredients which we’ve sourced from some wonderful local producers.

“We’re delighted with how it has turned out and we think people are going to love it.”

Brunch is available from 10am to 3pm every Saturday and Sunday, and Cask is also open daily for lunch and dinner from 12.30pm to 10pm.
