They only need 3,474 Christmas jumper-clad participants, no biggie.
If you’ve got a Christmas jumper, and you live not far from Marina Market in Cork, they need your help to break a Guinness World Record.
In what, you might ask? Well, the most people wearing Christmas jumpers in one place at one time of course – what else?
The Cork Market have taken to socials to ask for help in their endeavour, with the time and place of breaking the record to occur on December 17th, between 12:30pm and 2pm.

The World Record currently stands at 3,473, which was achieved in 2015, so Marina Market will need at least 3,474 people wearing Christmas jumpers to beat it. If you intend on participating, you can register for the event through this link here, which will act as proof that the record has been broken.
Share Cork, an charity organisation in aid of Cork’s elderly, and Cork University Hospital Charity will be there on the day so your participation in this record-breaking event will contribute to making a positive impact on those in need this Christmas.
To reward you for involvement, there will be loads of live entertainment at the market that day, plus there are plenty of unreal food stalls to satiate you during the count – popular Dublin toastie spot Griolladh just launched there last month.
