A popular Cork restaurant has announced it’s closing its doors for good after 18 years.

The fine French dining restaurant Les Gourmandises on Cook Street announced the sad news via their social media accounts this week.

Run by Pat and Soizic Kiely, it has gained a number of awards from the Restaurant Association of Ireland over the years, including ‘best restaurant in Cork’, ‘best restaurant in Munster’ and ‘best chef in Cork’.

A post on their Facebook page reads, ‘After 18 years of business on Cook street, Les Gourmandises restaurant has closed.

‘We would like to thank you our staff, suppliers & also our fabulous customers who supported us over the years.’
