If you’ve been looking to brush up on your Irish but can barely string two words together after 14 years of doing it in school (like myself) or if you’ve never spoken Irish in your life, these classes for you. In a post on Insta, the CnaG Cobh say the classes are aimed at beginners, people who haven’t spoken Irish in years or people “who have cúpla focal from school but want to brush up on their Gaeilge”. The post also says there’ll be an emphasis on “spoken, conversational Irish”, which is great news for anyone looking to incorporate a bit of Gaeilge into their day to day.
The course will run on Friday evenings at 7pm for six weeks from the 24th of September and costs €50. If you’re interested, get in touch with Conradh na Gaeilge Cobh via their Instagram or Twitter, and give them the follow to keep up to date with Irish speaking events happening in Cobh as well as tips for incorporating Irish into your group chat, your dating life and loads more.
