Why do I feel like this pizza is about to call me a langer?
If you’re a Cork feen or beoir simply bursting with pride for your county, you need to get your hands on this red and white pizza from Oak Fire.
This colourful dish was created to celebrate Deliveroo’s sixth year in Cork, and is exclusively available on Deliveroo for this weekend only.
You might be intrigued to know patriotic pizza is actually a sweet one – it’s got a hazelnut cream base, topped with fresh cream, white chocolate chips and flaked almonds on one side, and strawberries on the other. Sarah Loane, the operations manager of Oak Fire Pizza said:
Deliveroo has helped us and hundreds of other restaurants from across Cork reach its customers, especially during pandemic. So, we jumped at the chance to help them celebrate six years in the Rebel County. ‘The Rebel Pizza’ is an ode to Cork. Happy Birthday Roo!
If you were tossing up between takeaways for your Friday night feed, this should surely be the deciding factor. This red and white dessert is €7 and is the perfect follow up to one of Oak Fire’s delish wood fired savoury pizzas. Oh, and you might as well throw in a side of garlic dough balls and mini roast potatoes for good measure. While you’re at it, like.
