A series of amazing outdoor events is coming to Watergrasshill this August

Fiona Frawley

From the August bank holiday weekend until early September, O’ Mahony’s of Watergrasshill will be transformed into a music, comedy and cabaret venue, and the line up looks absolutely class.

Events company The Good Room has announced a new series of live music and comedy events to take place within the atmospheric surrounds of O’Mahony’s.

The line up includes The Frank and Walters, Lisa Hannigan, Paul Noonan, Neil Delamare, Stephanie Rainey, John Spillane, Greenshine, Bernard Casey, Sinead Quinlan, Jerry Fish and many more. There’s more information about times and dates for each gig here, so you can decide who you simply MUST see and get booking.

Each event will take place outside in the gorgeous tented courtyard, with socially distanced tables for groups of four and six.

Commenting on the event launch, O’Mahony’s proprietor Victor Murphy said:

We always wanted to hold live events here at O’Mahony’s and we’re really excited about bringing as much fun and magic as possible to the people of Watergrasshill, the wider Cork area and further afield. We’re thrilled to be hosting so many acts of international standing here at O’Mahony’s and it’s a real privilege to be the custodian of such a beautiful, old venue, capable of hosting these events. We can’t wait to welcome audiences through our doors over the August bank holiday weekend and I think these music, comedy and cabaret shows are going to be really magical and emotional for Cork audiences who have been starved of live experiences for so long.

You can definitely see why they’ve always wanted to hold events, how stunning is this venue:

Imagine kicking back there in the sun listening to a few tunes or a bitta comedy? Bliss, truly.

There’ll be just 100 places available for each gig, so if you have your eye on one and don’t want to miss it, move fast! We have a feeling tickets will fly out.
