Comedian PJ Gallagher, who plays Principal Walsh, appeared on The Ray D’Arcy Show on Saturday night and he revealed that the next season will be on our screens in just a matter of weeks, although he didn't have the precise date.
"I'm not sure of the day exactly," said Gallagher.
"I think we find out on Halloween, so it's a big day for Brexit and The Young Offenders. Season 2 starts in November, we know that much."
The Young Offenders movie was released in 2016 to critical acclaim and commercial success, before a six-part television season was commissioned. Episodes of the first season appeared on BBC Three and RTÉ 2.
