Last week, Census 2016 revealed some interesting information about the population of Ireland.
Among the quirkier results was one which showed that the difference between the amount of males and females in Carlow stood at a minuscule two people.
That’s right, there are 28,467 females in the county compared to 28,465 males.
The news has led to a humorous headline in this week’s Carlow People newspaper which was spotted by Hugh Conaghan:
Well played, lads. Well played.
