Gearing up for the festive season to come, Center Parcs Ireland has just confirmed it will reopen to the public later this month.

Busy putting the finishing touches in place, staff at Center Parcs Ireland are getting ready to welcome customers back after several weeks of closure. Due to reopen again later this month, Longford Forest will be back in business from December 18th until January 3rd.

And in more good news, even Santa Claus himself will make an appearance with the forest housing the special visitor in his Woodland Workshop as he gets his affairs in order for the big day.

Speaking ahead of their reopening in just over a week’s time, Center Parcs Longford Forest Village Director Daragh Feighery commented:

“We know that families will be looking forward to their annual visit to meet Santa Claus and we’ve been liaising with the North Pole’s Elf and Safety team to make sure Santa and his team of helpers can still join us this December.

“We really want to keep as much of the magic of Christmas as possible so, even though Santa’s Woodland Workshop looks a little bit different this year, we’ve done everything we can to make the experience as normal, and safe, as possible.

“Most importantly, Santa will still be able to see and talk to the children in his workshop.

Transformed into a magical winter wonderland, families wishing to get together at Longford Forest over the festive period will be greeted by twinkling fairy lights and festive decorations with a huge range of outdoor activities also on offer. Indoor activities and play areas will remain closed in line with government guidance.

All of the park’s onsite restaurants will also reopen, offering sit-in service for groups of up to six people, along with takeaway and delivery for those who’d rather dine in their cabins.

As for the spa? More positive news on that front too as Aqua Sana Spa will be open for treatments – including facials and massages – in the run-up to Christmas. Customers are advised that the Subtropical Swimming Paradise will not reopen for the festive period.

Center Parcs Longford Forest will close again on January 4th, until at least January 11th, in anticipation of the Covid-19 measures that the government will put in place after the festive season.
